PEACE AND SOCIAL HARMONY PROMOTION PROGRAM.

Through this program, we are addressing social discrimination, religious intolerance and segregation on the basis of religion, sect, cast and creed. The warlike situation in the country and target killing of human rights defenders, religious leaders, political and social activists is extremely horrible. The frequent attacks on worship places and schools are very serious matter. In past few years, almost 60,000 Pakistani has been killed in terrorist activities by extremist religious groups. Keeping in view the Horrendous conditions when people of Pakistan especially the religious minorities are living under the sensation of insecurity, we are striving to build a peaceful society through under mentioned endeavors;

•  Building bridges between the people belong to different religions and sects/denominations by conducting community meetings for the promotion of peace, tolerance and inter faith harmony.

 Peace and inter faith dialogues and policy review meetings.

 Sensitizing youth for sectarian harmony and peace building.

 Free legal aid assistance to the victims of violence.

 Awareness raising and sensitization regarding minority rights through community meetings, seminars, press conferences and consultation meetings.

 Protests, demonstrations and press conferences to raise voice against terrorism, social discrimination and persecution.

 Peace building trainings for youth, religious leaders, community leaders and human rights defenders.

 Capacity building trainings for conflict resolution and promotion of peace and tolerance to reduce social discrimination and religious intolerance.

Campaigns for the promotion of peace and inter faith harmony among the people belong to different religions and sects/denominations.

ADVOCACY PROGRAM FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE RIGHTS OF RELIGIOUS MINORITIES.

Through this program, we are addressing the sensitive need of legal aid assistance, protection and settlement for the victims of social discrimination and religious intolerance (especially victims charged under blasphemy), human rights violations faced by vulnerable groups, such as religious minority’s women, laborer and children. PNI is rights based Organization and helping victims of abuse and discrimination without cast and creed. We are striving to build a peaceful society by provide social justice through under mentioned endeavors;

•  Advocacy for minority rights.
•  Legal aid assistance.
•  Awareness raising and sensitization regarding minority rights through community meetings, seminars, press conferences and consultation meetings.
•  Protests, demonstrations and press conferences to raise voice against discrimination and persecution.
•  Capacity building trainings to train more activists to monitor and report the violations of minority rights.
•  Capacity building trainings for the promotion of peace and tolerance to reduce social discrimination and religious intolerance.

ADVOCACY PROGRAM FOR WOMEN, CHILDREN AND LABORERS.

Through this program, we are striving to promote and protect the rights of women, children and laborers through awareness raising, advocacy and lobbying. We conduct community meetings, capacity building trainings, seminars, public forums, press conferences, protest, demonstrations and rallies to address the discrimination and exploitation with these vulnerable groups. We also provide free legal aid assistance to the victims of violence and persecution (especially victims charged under blasphemy)

HEALTH AWARENESS AND EDUCATION PROGRAM.

Through this program, we are providing health care services through free medical camps; also we are extending awareness through “Health awareness and education campaign” for rural and urban areas at four towns of District Faisalabad – Pakistan. The target people for our work are women, children, person with disabilities and laborers.
ONGOING ACTIVITIES BY LOCAL FUNDING:

•  Health awareness and education campaign for general health and safety precautions.
•  Health awareness for maternal and newborns.
•  Health awareness for dengue and malaria fever.
•  Health awareness for HIV Aids and hepatitis. (A, B,  and C)
•  Prevention and control of non-communicable diseases and health promotion program.
•  Free medical camps at rural areas for women, children, Persons with disabilities and laborers to provide free consultation, medicine and lab tests. 

 



PROGRAM FOR THE PROMOTION OF EDUCATION AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT.

 

Through this program, we are striving to empower vulnerable communities living at rural and urban areas by providing them basic education through under mentioned endeavors;

Providing basic education through our school for primary classes. St. Lawrence Public School at Sarfraz Colony, Rajawala, District Faisalabad – Punjab – Pakistan is our first initiative towards basic education for labor class community to provide quality education with special attention and discount for deserving students. There are 150 boys and girls belong to poor families are studying but due to limited resources we are unable to accommodate them in only four class rooms. Therefore, we are using the veranda to accommodate two joiner classes.           
We are providing recreational opportunities for our students through extracurricular activities on special events includes; mother’s day, parents day, school day, independence day, international day of children and other events to engage the students by providing them chance to participate in speech competition, drawing competition, games and tabloos.
We are providing awareness in communities regarding importance of education by conducting seminars, community meetings and door to door visits.    
We are encouraging youth belong to working sector to join us to get education through our adult literacy centers at different areas of Faisalabad. We are running 4 adult literacy centers at four towns of Faisalabad.
 We are also striving to reduce child labor through Advocacy and awareness raising activities.
